Anzlee, a longhaired red Dachshund who was very pregnant and Levi, a longhaired black and tan male Dachshund came to us together on May 1st, 2015. They both came from an unfortunate situation where they had been used for breeding. After we assessed Levi, he was placed in a foster home. After he was fully vetted, he was adopted a short time later.

Anzlee stayed in our care while awaiting the birth of her puppies. On May 13th, 2015, just a short 13 days after her arrival at approximately 10:00 a.m. Anzlee gave birth to her first puppy, Johnny, a male longhaired Red Dapple Dachshund. Anzlee ended up having 4 puppies, 3 female (2 red and 1 double dapple) and 1 male (red dapple), all longhaired.

Yesterday Johnny, the first puppy to be adopted, went to his forever home! They named him Chopper. His new family sent an update today that he got to go for his first walk, meet the neighbors and slept through the night last night! We wish Johnny and his new family the best <3
